Jinhe Naaz Hai Hind Par Wo Kahan Hai - Knowledge Hub

Jinhe Naaz Hai Hind Par Wo Kahan Hai

india under devils The other day while browsing the net, I chanced upon a very nice song by Rabbi Shergill, which touched my heart in a way no other song ever did. This song, called “Bilqis”, was released in the year 2008. It took words from Gurudutt’s movie Pyaasa (1957) and gave it a contemporary context. Though we generally don’t cover songs on Knowledge Hub, this one is so apt to the present state of our country that I decided to share it.

I have attached the lyrics of the song below the video. After listening to the song, you might also want to know the stories of the people mentioned in the song (yes, they were real people). So, I have provided brief information about them too.

Lyrics of the Song “Bilqis”

Mera naam Bilqis Yakub Rasool
Mujhse hui bas ek hi bhool
Ki jab dhhundhhte thhe vo Ram ko
To main khadi thhi raah mein

Pehle ek ne puchha na mujhe kuchh pata thha
Dujey ko bhi mera yehi javab thha
Fir itno ne puchha ki mera ab saval hai

Jinhe naaz hai hind par vo kahan the
Jinhe naaz hai vo kahan hain

Mera naam Shrimaan Satyendra Dubey
Jo kehna thha vo keh chukey
Ab padhey hain rah mein
Dil mein liye ek goli

Bas itna kasoor ki hamne likha thaa
Vo sach jo har kisi ki zuban thaa
Par sach yahan ho jatey hain zehreelay

Jinhe naaz hai hind par vo kahan the
Jinhe naaz hai vo kahan hain

Mujhe kehte hain anna Manjunath
Maine dekhi bhatakti ek laash
Zamir ki beech sarhak Lakhimpur Kheri

Adarsh phasa jahan naaron mein
Aur chor bharey darbaron mein
Vahan maut akhlaq ki hai ik khabar baasi

Jinhe naaz hai hind par vo kahan the
Jinhe naaz hai vo kahan hain

Mazha naam hai Navleen Kumar
Unnees june unnees bar
Unnees unnees unnees unnees
Unnees baar

Unnees unnees unnees unnees
Unnees unnees unnees unnees
Unnees unnees unnees unnees
Unnees baar

Looto dehaat kholo bazaar
Nallasopara aur Virar
Chheeno zameen hamse
Bhejo hamein pataal

Jinhe naaz hai hind par vo kahan the
Jinhe naaz hai vo kahan hain

What a beautiful song that was! I'm glad that people are recognizing people who had struggle with corruption and evil. Now I don' t know the translation into english but I can understand by looking at the sorrow of the singer and hearing the stories. I fully support the Lokpal bill.

The song of Gurudatt’s movie Pyaasa (Jeene Naaz hai Hind pe woh kahanmhai) at that time government wanted to ban song as it was rightly said by the writer of song, because after Independent no change for the common man has come that time of song of Pyaasa nor today. Bilqis is the same awareness song like Movie Pyass, BUT SOME PART IS EFFECTED TREATMENT CAN BE DONE IF WHOLE BODY IS ROTTED THEN? This is Mera Bharat what is treatment, effort with song Bilqis should create JAAGO RE MERE BHARAT WASI. iT IS HIGH TIME., NOW OR NEVER
